Arrrgyle Socks

I've decided to make some argyle socks for the GC. Since she is crazy about anything pirate, I incorporated a jolly roger into the pattern.

Software: Knitpicks Palette fingering weight in red, black, fog, and white.

Hardware: #2 straight sticks for the leg, 2 #2 circular needles for the foot.

Here is my test run in worsted weight yarn:

Here's my progress so far. Looks like fun, eh?

Wow, your knitting projects are really nice. I crochet. Like you, I learned to knit and crochet when I was young, but I never went back to knitting. Maybe I should...

OMG...I have my first post..and it's not from a family member!!! Jenn, thank you so much for your complement. I would whole-heartedly recommend that you try knitting again. I think knitting solves certain problems that crochet cannot. I do not, however, find the two mutually exclusive. Actually, I'm toying with a couple of ideas for projects that incorporate both knitting and crochet. Try a one skein project or two and I think you'll find knitting a worthwhile endeavor.
